MCP68 Chipset from NVIDIA : official announcement



The CeBIT 2007, the closure of which will be held today, March 21, 2007, was the announcement of new MCP68 chipset from NVIDIA to compete with the success of AMD 690G. Speaking of the characteristics MCP68 worth nothing : support PureVideo HD (720p), HDMI, HDCP, 1 IDE channel, four-port SATA 3Gb/s, 12 joints, USB 2.0, gigabit network controller. Appliance supports RAID arrays, in a 0, 1, 5. MCP68 will be divided into two modifications : MCP68PS (GeForce 7025) and MCP68PV (GeForce 7050). What model with the index PS of PV is the frequency of the graphics processor : 425 MHz to 475 MHz. Incidentally graphical kernel in MCP68 has 2 Pixel Pipelines and one version and ROP block. According to the NVIDIA MCP68 performance will be at the level of AMD 960G. The first motherboards based nForce630a chipsets (GeForce 7025/7050) to appear at April.
